Due to the negative external perception of moral misconduct in the globalized economy, the concept of corporate ethics has been critically discussed in public in recent years. Max Kunze examines which trust-building moral values hold overarching significance in business life and outlines the common standardization, implementation, and execution tools of value management. To this end, he analyzes 90 companies, comprising those from the Dow Jones, DAX, as well as family-owned and medium-sized enterprises. The author demonstrates that, alongside essential values, code forms and ethics certifications, reporting systems, ethics training, and social engagement are of central importance. Finally, he presents a scenario for implementing value management in family-owned and medium-sized companies and provides valuable process and action recommendations.
