Reading in tandem is currently the most successful method for promoting reading fluency, which is essential for text comprehension and enjoyment of reading. The method has been tested in practice and is easy to implement in the classroom.

The training booklets are offered for grades 2 to 4 and are suitable for all students who want to improve their reading skills.

The teacher pairs a weaker reader with a stronger reader to form a tandem, which reads the texts aloud and synchronously in several rounds. This cooperative learning format relieves the weaker reader, leading to quick successes. However, the stronger reader also benefits from the method, as they must read the text closely and correct even small mistakes. Additionally, through the shared, self-directed reading, the children's personal, social, and organizational skills are developed.
