Teaching principles guide the design of instruction. They apply across all subject areas and determine the teaching-learning methods used to present and convey content. Thus, they are used for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and legitimization of teaching. Ewald Kiel and the other authors introduce the principles of structuring, motivation, differentiation, visualization, creativity promotion, and practice. The development of the teaching principles occurs through theoretical introductions as well as video analyses. An interactive CD with film sequences for each teaching principle is included. Various accompanying tasks enable independent and self-directed learning. The theoretical introduction of the principles provides background knowledge and addresses current research findings.
