Anja Kruse, born on August 5, 1956, in Essen, is a German actress. The daughter of a technical draftsman, she attended the Folkwang School in Essen. In the 1979/80 season, she received her first engagement at the Municipal Theaters of Münster. From 1980 to 1983, she performed at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and in 1984 at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. After a successful stage career, she landed her first major television role in 1984 in the ZDF miniseries "Die schöne Wilhelmine," where she played the title character Wilhelmine von Lichtenau. For her performance, Anja Kruse was awarded the Golden Camera as Best Newcomer in 1984. She went on to appear in many series such as "Siska," "Der Alte," "Das Traumschiff," and "Die Schwarzwaldklinik." Additionally, she played the role of Dr. Angelika Rombach, née Grassmann, over three seasons in "Forsthaus Falkenau.".
