The work addresses the complex planning problem of designing production networks, which arises from the multitude of influencing factors and constraints. Specifically, it considers the impact of complex product programs and their effects on process diversity in the design. With the V-model, the author provides a framework that supports this design from strategy to implementation, also incorporating the process level.
