Andy Schumacher is a German rock drummer and actor. Schumacher grew up in Freiburg and learned to play the drums at the age of 14. Shortly thereafter, he played in various bands. In 1982, he began a three-year drumming program at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. After several musically successful years in Freiburg, he moved to Berlin in September 1997 and founded the Kreuzberger Drumfactory. Today, Andy Schumacher lives with his family in Freiburg and runs the Wiehrebahnhof music school there.
