Germany is an immigration country that attracts families from very different cultural backgrounds. This has led to an increasing diversity of educational concepts within German society, accompanied by varying educational values and methods. In order to professionally support refugees and migrants in their parenting skills and inclusion process, professionals need to have knowledge about the effects of migration on immigrant families and adopt an attitude of not knowing that must be explored. Supporters must be able to clearly explain education-related concepts and terminology in Germany and consciously manage their own stereotypes and prejudices to be helpful to the immigrant families. This addresses these challenges.
