Litora is designed for Latin instruction as a third or fourth foreign language, for Latin courses at the university level, and for all forms of adult education. The course consists of 28 lessons that lead to reading proficiency and provides a comprehensive insight into the ancient world. The grammar content is presented consistently through coherent texts. These texts cover topics from Roman life, Roman culture and history, as well as Greek mythology, are written in artistic Latin, and almost always have ancient sources. All grammatical phenomena necessary for beginning reading are introduced. Exercises on text analysis, content, stylistics, morphology, syntax, vocabulary, as well as factual texts and various illustrations complete each lesson.
