People who have had to leave their home country due to war-related, religious, political, or economic reasons often experience severe physical, psychological, and social injuries. Upon arriving in Germany, they not only become aware of the drastic global disparities in opportunities, but they also frequently encounter disadvantages and exclusion in their daily lives. Such complex issues cannot be addressed solely within the framework of the healthcare system. Rather, traumatized individuals require competent psychosocial support that helps mitigate potential dangers, provides professional guidance, and thereby opens up opportunities for successful integration.
