Team supervision is one of the central consulting methods for team and quality development through team case discussions. It increases the sense of security in complex work environments and supports team leaders in fulfilling their responsibilities. Over the past forty years, a process of professionalization has taken place in team supervision, confronting supervisors with their responsibility for their clients' organizations. Today, team supervisors offer working alliances that balance the interests of an organization's clients with those of the employees in the team and the organization represented by the team leadership, addressing areas of tension. Primarily, team supervision is committed to the high-quality fulfillment of the team's work tasks. However, there are changes in the working world that team supervision has so far inadequately addressed.
