Wolfgang Herrndorf is one of the more successful authors of our time. The literary scholarly interest of this volume is not primarily driven by public attention, awards, and translations, but by the conviction that Herrndorf's texts offer an exciting field of reflection in their subjects and forms, enabling diverse readings. The contributions in this volume present this in their own ways, making a reflection of contemporary literature and literary studies visible in the analyses. In the first part of the volume, Herrndorf's texts are introduced individually under specific approaches, while the second part explores thematic and formal connections between them through cross-analyses.
