Apart from the regulations of the UWG regarding the permissibility of advertising forms and content, there are also legal provisions in broadcasting, press, and telemedia law, the violation of which can result in prohibited, and therefore unlawful, advertising. The existence of these different regulatory systems carries the risk of conflicting evaluations. This work explores ways to intertwine media-specific advertising requirements with those of competition law. Additionally, it examines whether the advertising terms and conditions of broadcasters lead to a de facto expansion of the scope of media-specific requirements to advertising companies.
