Product details
The study provides a current overview of consumer organizations in Germany. Through five case analyses, private and institutionally funded consumer organizations are examined comparatively. The effects of consumer organizations on markets and on the political representation of consumers are highlighted. Works from political and economic sciences, as well as theories of social movements, are referenced and expanded upon. Thus, an economic sociological framework for the examination of markets, taking into account the demand side, is developed, which is also applicable to other disciplines.
