Schernikau's opus magnum is a Bible and travesty, an epic and a musical, the utmost form and variety of literary forms. It serves as a documentary inventory of both Germanys in the 1980s, with a striking relevance and a consistently playful exploration of the world's malleability. In a conversation with Stefan Ripplinger, Schernikau explains: "The legend will have these four major pieces as interludes, which have not been printed before.
