This is where self-experience comes into play: it is a component of behavioral therapy training and should also be regularly practiced in professional life. Bernd Ubben explains his own concept of self-experience for behavioral therapists. This allows them to specifically develop their personal competencies and integrate them into their daily work. In this way, they learn to master the professional triad of methodological competence, relational skills, and self-regulation ability. The goal is to professionalize their personal style, resulting in a confident and personality-aligned approach.
