Product details

This study originated from my seminar in the winter semester of 1916/17 at the University of Vienna, where I illustrated the methodological principles of an introduction to the study of scholastic sources and manuscripts through the author question of the Philosophia pauperum. A secondary result of this research is an insight into the philosophical instruction at German universities and particularly city schools during the late Middle Ages. The Publishing House of Sciences publishes historical literature by both well-known and lesser-known scholarly authors. This makes works that have long been out of print accessible again to interested readers. This book on the Philosophia Pauperum and its author Albert of Orlamünde represents a contribution to the history of philosophical instruction at German city schools during the late Middle Ages.
