The manual is primarily intended for practitioners; they will find advice and information on the treatment of goods in the bath as well as before and after galvanizing. Therefore, grinding and polishing methods with the commonly used machines and materials have also been discussed. Furthermore, we have not limited ourselves to the formulas for baths used for deposition with the help of electricity, but have also included formulas suitable for contact galvanization and immersion processes, as well as safe methods for coloring (patinating, oxidizing) metals. Although the historical development and theory of galvanic processes, as well as fundamental phenomena and laws, have been briefly mentioned, we have been guided by the conviction that many practitioners wish to gain clarity on these fundamentals in order to utilize this knowledge effectively.
