Product details

Differentiated German language instruction takes into account aspects of the Diversity Charter in its considerations and implementation. Through a reflective, sensitive, and targeted integration of diversity characteristics, it enables positive experiences in learning and differentiating the German language in oral forms, texts, and other (digital) media. The book presents aspects of differentiated German instruction and offers tested concepts. It facilitates further discussions on active participation of all learners in democratic processes while considering the learning conditions.

Inga Buhrfeind is a research associate at the Institute for German Language and Literature and its Didactics at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. She is pursuing her doctorate and researching collective writing spaces as a supportive writing learning setting in higher education. Prof. Dr. Astrid Neumann has been a professor of German language didactics at Leuphana University of Lüneburg since 2011. Her research and work focus on oral and written language in German as a first, second, and educational language in secondary education I and II. In practical projects, alongside the language tests in VERA 6, the integration of people with a refugee background through student support in service learning projects is emphasized.
