Product details
In literature, individual sports, such as the classic marathon, have received little attention so far, and their success factors have only been limitedly examined. Felicitas Schlepper investigates which success factors are defined for the marketing of sporting events and develops a success model for the marketing of the Münster Marathon. The empirical study, which focuses on customer satisfaction, is conducted through a quantitative survey of 526 runners. The author identifies product and distribution policy as the biggest drivers of customer satisfaction and demonstrates that pricing and communication policy have the least impact.
