The German philosophical writer Franz Hoffmann (1804 - 1881) has created an extensive compilation of works by well-known philosophers such as Franz von Baader, Johann Caspar Bluntschli, Johann Gottlieb Fichte, Georg Wilhelm Helge, Johannes Scotus Erigena, Friedrich von Schelling, Arthur Schopenhauer, and others with his six-part series "Philosophical Writings." The present fourth volume contains a total of 62 writings, including: "Pythagoras, the Wise Man of Saraos," "Seven Books on the History of Platonism," "Plato's Doctrine of the Earth's Rotation," "Dante Alighieri and the Divine Comedy," "Master Eckhart and the Inquisition," and "The Theology of Leibniz." This book is an unaltered reprint of the long out-of-print original edition from 1877.
