Achmad, a corporate photographer at an exclusive hotel in Cairo, witnesses the brutal murder of a friend during an assassination attempt on two rival businessmen in the Vertigo bar. With "Vertigo," Ahmed Mourad established the political thriller genre in Egypt in 2007. The book was adapted into a television series in 2012.
