The Swiss sculptor Cesare Ferronato has developed a unique vocabulary in stone over more than sixty years: from playfully declined body forms to spatially complex, abstract structures, and his two-sided "Ambivalences." Hannes Schüpbach approaches the essence of Ferronato's oeuvre in a conversation designed as field research among artists, exploring a creative process in which the sculptor connects his corporeal vision with a specific stone, which carries its own long history.
