This textbook offers a proven teaching and practice program for a basic CAD training for mechanical engineers in CATIA V5. To establish a practical connection to mechanical design, a newly designed brief introduction to the design process is provided at the beginning. The modeling of components and complex assemblies, as well as the derivation and preparation of drawings, are presented in detail and in an easily understandable manner. Special emphasis is placed on a clear, methodically appropriate approach. The book is also well-suited for effective self-study. A comprehensive index (partly in English) facilitates reference.
