This work originated from my master's thesis "Le Corbusier: Poeme Electronique. Studies on the Philips Pavilion, World Exhibition Brussels 1958," which I submitted at the University of Hamburg in 1984. It could not have been written without a study stay in Paris funded by the German Academic Exchange Service and a two-year doctoral scholarship from the University of Hamburg, for which I owe the recommendation of Professor Martin Warnke.
