This study book covers the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics, divided into longitudinal, lateral, and vertical dynamics. Following the requirements of the course, a basic understanding is developed of what driving dynamics means and how, for example, the potential for force transmission of a wheel can be assessed for each driving situation. Wheel loads are important for safety, while accelerations in the vehicle are relevant for comfort. This fosters an understanding of the relationships between forces and movements.
