The volume contains ten mathematical or mathematics-historical contributions that exemplarily represent the significance and impact of important works by Hausdorff. Among them are contributions from mathematicians from all three universities where Hausdorff taught: Leipzig, Greifswald, and Bonn. The memorial volume "In Memory of Felix Hausdorff" was published on the occasion of Hausdorff's 50th death anniversary. It commemorates the work, life, and fate of this significant mathematician during the time of the Nazi persecution of the Jews.
