This textbook teaches the use of the "Advanced Planner and Optimizer" (APO) from SAP AG through a comprehensive case study. Exercises illustrate the business theory from an IT perspective. The textbook is based on several years of teaching and consulting experience and guides students step by step through the application using the fictional company "IDES," which has been represented by SAP AG in training systems for both "Enterprise Resource Planning" (ERP) and APO.
