The third revised edition of the Clay Building Rules now available takes into account the current state of development in clay construction since its first publication ten years ago. This edition has also been included in the sample list of the Technical Building Regulations of the German Institute for Standardization in Berlin and recommended for implementation by the building authorities in the federal states. This has now occurred in most federal states. The individual clay building materials (such as rammed clay, Weller clay, straw clay) are explained clearly and understandably, providing guidelines for testing and construction with the material, thus enabling proper application and execution.
