Office communication is a relatively young field of modern technology development. As with similar developments, there is no unified opinion on what it encompasses and which subfields belong to it. This book attempts to outline the overall area and characterizes office communication as the business management and technical solution for processing office work with technical support. Such an understanding of office communication includes essential parts of traditional data processing and is based on the realization that the two areas - data processing and office communication - cannot be meaningfully separated: they must be viewed as components of a common concept.
