This guide provides an overview of the technical possibilities for energy savings in horticulture. Given the wide variety of different operational structures and conditions, it is not possible to create a one-size-fits-all recipe for optimal energy savings. Rather, the aim is to present the range of options for energy savings and to conduct a strengths and weaknesses analysis of the operational energy consumption through the developed energy check. The goal is to give businesses an overview of measures for rational energy use, provide decision-making aids, and highlight alternatives.
