The book provides an introduction to the mathematical foundations of stochastic geometry. It covers random closed sets and point processes of sets, with a focus on models in Euclidean space (stationarity, isotropy). The restriction to the class of locally finite unions of convex bodies allows for the introduction of functional densities as geometric characteristics, as well as the application of integral geometric results from the previously published volume in this series, "Integral Geometry.".
