Product details
In this legendary business book and a cornerstone of Silicon Valley, former Intel Chairman and CEO Andrew S. Grove shares his perspective on how to build and lead a company. The essential skill of starting and managing new businesses—the art of entrepreneurship—can be summed up in a single word: management. Drawn from Grove's experiences at one of America's leading technology companies, "High Output Management" is just as relevant for sales managers, accountants, consultants, and teachers as it is for CEOs and startup founders. Grove discusses techniques for creating highly productive teams and presents motivational methods that lead to peak performance. Overall, "High Output Management" is a practical guide for tackling real-world business scenarios and a powerful management manifesto that has the potential to revolutionize the way we work.
Andrew S. Grove emigrated from Hungary to the United States in 1956. He was involved in the founding of Intel, became president in 1979, and CEO in 1987. In 1997, he was named Time Magazine's Man of the Year. He stepped down as CEO of Intel in 1998 and retired as chairman of the board in 2004. Grove taught for twenty-four years at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He passed away in 2016.
