Andrew Taylor, born in 1951 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, is a British author. He grew up in the Fen Country in East Anglia and studied at the universities of Cambridge and London. After that, he worked in various professions, including boat builder, teacher, librarian, and payroll clerk. In 1981, he turned to writing full-time. He has written over 20 books to date, primarily crime novels and thrillers, as well as some young adult books. His first novel, "Caroline Minuscule," reached up to four million listeners as a radio play series on BBC Radio 4.
