The textbook provides a compact overview of knowledge regarding the recipients of social work. Various concepts are presented and discussed in their theoretical context. With case studies and additional materials, a systematic organization of social work and its recipients is developed. Taking into account life courses and biographies, gender and migration, and focusing on living conditions and social issues, the book introduces students to the structural requirements of working with people within the social work system. Challenges of social pedagogical recipient research are highlighted, and practical solutions are described.
