The contributions of this volume deal with fundamentals and systematizations, transition management, labor integration, and temporary employment in the context of migration. In particular, the significance of social work in the context of work and migration is examined. Migrants often find themselves in precarious, marginalized living situations. This is especially true in the area of work and migration, among other reasons, because their qualifications are not sufficiently recognized, their professional advancement is hindered, or they are subjected to racist forms of discrimination, for example, when searching for training or employment opportunities. At the same time, however, there is increasing pressure in Western labor societies to better integrate migrants into the labor market than has been done so far.
