In psychosocial fields, counseling often takes place in so-called open or ambiguous settings and in transitional situations, or in other words: in between doors. In many areas of social work, this is a common form of interaction, especially where the design of everyday contexts plays a role, such as in supported living, family assistance, or day groups. The contributions in this volume examine the potentials of this specific form of counseling and address the reflective needs of clients and counselors with the aim of professionally profiling a specific counseling setting in social work.
