This bibliography, created from the SOLIS database (Social Science Literature Information System), contains sociological literature published between 1983 and 1986. It documents nearly 15,000 independent and non-independent publications from the entire German-speaking area. The bibliography is divided into three sections (Foundations and Methods, Special Sociology, Social Psychology) and a total of 29 chapters. This publication continues the series of sociological bibliographies that was newly established with the "Bibliography on German Sociology 1978 - 1982" published in 1997, which traces back to the "Bibliography on German Sociology 1945 - 1977" published in 1980. In addition to the chapter structure, the bibliography is supplemented by a comprehensive index of persons and an index of institutions.
