Sustainability - as is often heard - primarily depends on the demographic situation. Consequently, reports about society and social change are becoming increasingly rare, while information about the population is more frequently provided, along with calls for a reversal of demographic trends. In this way, social phenomena are often explained as demographic facts: the demographization of the social. This volume aims to trace the processes of demographization and explicitly questions the opportunities presented by demographic change.
