In research on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the fluid theme of water often disappears behind major geopolitical issues such as security, borders, and Jerusalem. In a detailed examination, this volume assigns the subject of "water" its rightful central place in the analysis of the conflict. Instead of discussing conflict or cooperation over water as is typically done, the author brings social and natural sciences into dialogue and analytically examines the significance of water for the course of the conflict. Building on this, she identifies points of approach for dialogue between Israel and Palestine regarding the scarce and vital resource.
