Within the German education system, transitions between different types of schools represent a significant educational challenge. This is primarily due to the ongoing lack of compatibility between the receiving and departing institutions. From the perspective of those involved, the school transition to a secondary school can be seen as a "latent eventful moment," where individual issues arise when the educational aspirations and assessments of the students, parents, and teachers diverge. In his study, Thomas Wiedenhorn explores questions related to the transition from primary to secondary education from the viewpoints of students, parents, and teachers.
