The European Commission is a central actor of the European Union. It is faced with increasingly extensive and changing tasks that the European Commission must respond to. This book examines, using the example of the implementation of the environmental policy integration principle within the European Commission, to what extent it is able to learn in light of changing environmental requirements. The investigation is based on a systematic engagement with approaches to organizational learning, which are used to guide the empirical research.
