This book presents the design of the DFG project "Influences of the Aggregation of Personal, Thematic, and Temporal Information on the Results of Agenda-Setting Studies." It involves a secondary analysis of weekday survey data and daily media data from the Federal Republic of Germany between 1994 and 2006. The data was aggregated and merged on a weekly basis. First, the book illustrates what were considered the most important issues by the population during this period based on these data. Subsequently, it traces the dynamics of media coverage and its reflection in public interest and relevance assessment through four examples: politics, terrorist attacks, the NPD ban proceedings, and consumer climate.
