Europe's education systems are undergoing major changes in institutional regulatory structures. For example, in the context of PISA, schools are being given more room to maneuver, and educational standards along with external evaluation and monitoring procedures are being introduced. This volume presents the concept of "governance in education" and provides new perspectives for governance processes in education from various social science reference disciplines.
