What are the fundamental structures of the world familiarity of an experiencing subject? This study attempts to answer this question through a methodologically innovative analysis of autobiographical narratives. It brings together two heterogeneous sources: the life-world phenomenology in the tradition of Husserl and Schutz on one hand, and the structuralism of Lévi-Straussian provenance on the other. Consequently, it advocates viewing the relationship between experience and narrative as a topological representation.
