Product details

When young people consider whether to get involved somewhere, they ask themselves and their partners the question: "Can I contribute there?" The older generation has neither heard nor said such a thing. The question is confusing. Apparently, something else is supposed to happen beyond merely taking on a task. Up until around 1960, tasks and roles had the structure of objective requirements. The only question was whether one had enough skills and demonstrable abilities to take on the task, to step into the role, to obtain the position. It was not the whole person or larger parts of them that were required, but rather the skills. However, the skills profile on one hand and the long working hours on the other led to the partially engaged person becoming the executive organ of a specific service ideal.
