This book analyzes the communal practices of visitors to the Fusion Festival. Specifically, it aims to understand how, when, and by whom different types of community are constituted through the social practices during the festival. To achieve this, the festival visit is first examined as a cultural practice. It will clarify what meanings visitors attribute to certain things and actions, how they constitute the festival experience, why they attend the Fusion Festival, what role everyday life plays, and why they seek out the community(ies).
