More than sixty years after the end of the Third Reich, the memory of the darkest period in German history between 1933 and 1945 continues to persist as if it were a civilizational break that happened just yesterday. Given this urgent relevance, it is not surprising that a multitude of publications have emerged about the Third Reich. In light of this overwhelming body of research, the author aims to provide not only a guide for a specialized audience but also to delve into the history of ideas by reconstructing the most significant concepts of fascism in the context of their emergence: these include Soviet Marxist, Bonapartist theoretical, conflict theoretical, totalitarian theoretical, modernization theoretical, intellectual historical, and social psychological interpretations of fascism.
