Under the title "Hans Blumenberg: Educational Readings," the authors explore Hans Blumenberg's work through educational philosophical and educational science-related problems and questions. The work of the philosopher from Münster is perceived by educational science as terra incognita not only because he has scarcely commented on educational topics but also because his body of work was already substantial during his lifetime and was significantly expanded through numerous posthumous publications. So far, there have only been isolated and scattered attempts to connect his work to specific disciplines. Therefore, this volume presents the first anthology on the educational scientific reception of Blumenberg, compiling contributions on Blumenberg's metaphorology, anthropology, and his critical engagement with Plato's Allegory of the Cave.
