The contents and concerns of intercultural education are far from being a niche topic on the fringes of educational science. Societal plurality, influenced among other things by migration, is a fundamental condition for institutionalized educational processes. To create greater educational equity in a pluralistic society, coordinated interventions in school and curriculum development are necessary. Language education in the context of multilingualism is a prominent area of action here. The volume "Intercultural Education and Language Education: Challenges for Teacher Training" brings together contributions from twelve authors on selected topics of intercultural teacher education from educational, sociological, subject-didactic, and linguistic perspectives. This is in the spirit of a comprehensively inclusive school and curriculum development.
