Starting from the theory of social practice, Mathias Wilde analyzes the possibility of understanding mobility as a constitutive element of lived reality. This approach serves as the starting point for a qualitative study that examines mobility in the daily lives of older people in rural areas. The research provides insights into people's lives and highlights how, with increasing age, opportunities for mobility diminish, particularly in rural settings. However, the author also demonstrates how individuals respond to changing circumstances and develop new mobility strategies. Ultimately, the findings culminate in a theory about the practice of mobility.
